Jigglypuff
|
|
Complete the 1P Game with any character on any difficulty. Jigglypuff will challenge you to a fight. If you win, you can now play as Jigglypuff.

Luigi
|
|
Complete Bonus 1 Practice (Break the Targets) with the 8 original characters. This can be done in either the 1P Game or the Bonus 1 Practice. Luigi will challenge you to a fight. If you win, you can now play as Luigi.

|
Captain Falcon
|
|
Complete the 1P Game with any character on any difficulty in less than 20 minutes. Captain Falcon will challenge you to a fight. If you win, you can now play as Captain Falcon.
|
|
Ness
|
|
Complete the 1P Game with any character with 3 lives on Normal difficulty, without using continues. Ness will challenge you to a fight. If you win, you can now play as Ness.
|
|
Stages
|
|
Mushroom Kingdom
|
|
Complete the 1P Mode with the 8 original characters, and play the 8 original stages in VS Mode at least once. After accomplishing this, the Mushroom Kingdom stage will now be playable in VS Mode.

Menus
|
|
Sound Test
|
|
Complete Bonus Stage 1 (Break the Targets) and Bonus Stage 2 (Board the Platforms) with all 12 characters. This can be done in either the 1P Game or the Bonus 1 Practice and the Bonus 2 Practice. Once this is accomplished, you can access the Sound Test menu under the Data menu, which provides music and sounds from the game.

Item Switch

|
Play 75 matches in VS Mode. After accomplishing this the Item Switch menu can be accessed from the VS Options menu, which allows you to change what items will randomly spawn in VS Mode.

Pokémon
|
|
Mew
|
|
Unlock all the secret characters, stages and menus. Mew will now randomly appear from Poké Balls (1/151 chance in seeing Mew appear).
