Bowser, the main villain of the Mario series and King of the Koopa race, makes his return to Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Never before has he looked as scary as he does in this game. Yikes!
Bowser is the main antagonist of the Mario series, and one of the most recognizable video game villains ever. You will usually find him attempting to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom and kidnapping Princess Peach. His plans are always foiled by Mario and friends of course. However, he has occasionally teamed up with the plumber, should a different villain appear.
Bowser is normally seen as nasty and brutish. However, his attitude is usually quite comical, which is particularly evident in the Mario RPG games. He does have some good inside him, but this is usually only expressed when he teams up with Mario.
First Appearance: Super Mario Bros. (NES)
You can check out a list of Bowser's confirmed moves and their effects below.

| Special Moves |
| Standard Special Move: Fire Breath |
 |
Bowser will breathe fire, burning the opponents in front of him. The distance of the fire breath will decrease the longer the special move button is held down, and players will have to wait a second before using the move again for the fire breath to charge back to full power.
|
| Up Special Move: Whirling Fortress |
 |
Bowser will withdraw into his shell and spin around. Performing this move on the ground will cause opponents to get sucked into the spinning vortex, and tossed out in any direction. This move doesn’t gain much vertical height, so be aware of this when recovering.

| Final Smash |
| Giga Bowser Transformation |
 |
Bowser will transform into Giga Bowser from Super Smash Bros. Melee. With this, his size, as well as the power of his attacks, increase dramatically. It will be tough to knock Bowser out of the stage in this form, but the transformation will only last for a short while.
