Pikachu, the most well known Pokémon in existence, returns to Super Smash Bros. Brawl, in all it's electrical glory. The electric mouse is all charged up and ready to zap it's foes all over again.

Pikachu is one of the original 150 Pokémon creatures from the Pokémon series. In the Pokémon games, you controlled a trainer with an aim to catch 'em all as you roamed around Kanto collecting gym badges, eventually facing off against the Elite Four. Pikachu could be found in Viridian Forest or the Power Plant in the Red and Blue games, and was your starter Pokémon in Yellow. Pikachu has appeared in every Pokémon game to date.

Pokémon became a massive franchise soon after release, and Pikachu led the assault, and remains as Nintendo’s second largest franchise.

First Appearance: Pokémon Red/Blue (GB)

You can check out a list of Pikachu's confirmed moves and their effects below.

Special Moves
Standard Special Move: Thunder Jolt
Pikachu will release a jolt of electricity. When released on the ground, it will move along the floor, and when released in midair, it will be in the form of a small ball that will travel downwards diagonally until it hits ground, in which it will travel on the floor. It will disappear after a certain distance if it fails to hit anyone.
Up Special Move: Quick Attack
Pikachu will move at a very fast pace, causing very minor damage to whoever gets in the way. Players control which way Pikachu will move with this attack, and if players time this correctly, Pikachu will do another jump after the first one.
Down Special Move: Thunder
Pikachu summons a lightningbolt from above, causing damage to whoever it hits. Thunder cannot travel through platforms. If Pikachu is hit with Thunder, and anyone comes in contact with Pikachu whilst it is being hit with Thunder, opponents will gain a larger amount of damage.
Final Smash
Volt Tackle
Pikachu will transform into a big ball of electricity, which can be controlled by the player. It is very fast, and will damage any opponent that it touches. However, one must be careful when in the air, as it is very hard to control. Should the Final Smash finish whilst in midair, Pikachu will fall.
