Pit, after laying low since the NES and GB years, has made a return to video games, appearing in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a playable character, even sporting a brand new physical appearance.
Pit is the star of the vintage Kid Icarus series, and is head of the royal bodyguards for Palutena, the Goddess of Light. In Kid Icarus, Pit was a young angel trapped in the underworld, tasked by the imprisoned Palutena, to defeat Medusa, the Goddess of Darkness, who threatened the peace of Angel Land wielding the three sacred treasures. Armed with a magical bow, Pit escaped the underworld and set out to reclaim the three sacred treasures, and restore the peace. After receiving a sequel, the Kid Icarus series grew silent. | Standard Special Move: Palutena Arrow | |

Pit will fire a special arrow from his magical bow. Players can steer the arrow up and down to change its trajectory. This can be hard however, as the arrows can travel very fast, so players have to be very quick. |
| Up Special Move: Wings of Icarus | |

A move purely for recovery purposes. When using this move, Pit can travel freely through the sky. This will only last a short while however, and once this time has expired, Pit will fall, so players must be careful. |

Pit will ask Palutena to summon an army of Centurions. There are numerous amounts of them, and can attack any opponent. Each Centurion can only attack once however, and once they've attacked, they will scatter. |
